Website Fixes

Rebuilt a Large Service-Site Image System and Mega Menu

A website implementation note about replacing generic imagery across dozens of service pages, rebuilding an additional-services page, and reorganizing a dense mega menu.

Quick summary

A website implementation note about replacing generic imagery across dozens of service pages, rebuilding an additional-services page, and reorganizing a dense mega menu.

The problem

A large service website reused generic visuals, had inconsistent asset filenames, relied on weak fallback images, and presented additional services in a basic list that was hard to scan.

What I checked

  • Supplied photos and video assets against available service pages
  • Hero, service, location, and supporting-content image placements
  • Existing additional-services page and embedded videos
  • Mega-menu hierarchy, duplicate links, and parent-link behavior
  • Removed-page links, redirects, cache, and mobile presentation

What I changed

  • Optimized, renamed, matched, and deployed service-specific images across 32 pages
  • Removed generic fallbacks and refreshed homepage, hero, footer, service, and location imagery
  • Rebuilt the additional-services page with alternating image-and-description sections
  • Reorganized the mega menu into clearer service columns with a distinct supporting-services area
  • Added redirects for removed pages and verified navigation, links, imagery, and mobile output

Result

The site now uses more credible service-specific photography, presents secondary services as real content, and gives visitors a clearer route through a large service catalog.

Where this fix usually leads next

This kind of work usually connects back to Website Fixes, WordPress Support and Landing Pages so the fix note can lead into a clearer support path instead of staying as an isolated one-off task.

What I'd watch next

  • Whether newly added services receive unique images instead of fallbacks
  • Whether menu changes preserve the intended column balance
  • Whether removed URLs continue redirecting after platform updates
